I was offered a gig for a kids birthday party... with about 15 kids (but im pretty sure there will be more) ... do you guys recommend a board with 10 fp ideas for kids to choose from? or how would i go about doing this? any tips? full faces, half faces, cheek art only? do i bring my own water? <-would that look more professional? and then theres the big $ question? what is a good rate? being that its my 1st time and i probably am not as fast as a professional (im in NJ)? i will put pics of some of my work... i think im pretty decent ;) any tips are appreciated :D

I would say at least $80 per hour. There are other face painters in NJ who charge $80-150 for the first hour and $75-100 for every hour after that.
15 to 20 kids would be about 2 hours.

Definitely bring your own water - bring as much as you can to look well equipped and professional - if you require them to provide anything be specific and tell them in advance.

For a birthday party you don't necessarily have to bring a board - a folder will do and they can pass that around -- if you were doing a festival/public gig then a board is definitely a great idea for passer bys to stop and see.

I hope this helps :-)
