Thanks for sharing. You are so talented. I love the butterfly, it looks fantastic.
Thanks. Am always looking for cute eye designs for ladies. and those 2 were beautiful. loved them!…
I love both designs, so pretty. Thanks for sharing them with us.
I truly love your videos. how old is Faith now. I am having problems with outling and controlling my brush as to when i want prussure and not. because i don’t have the gift of drawing i am finding if you do the stroke correctly it turns out bueatiful can you do some videos on outlining. thanks
Hi Janice, this is a great idea for a future video. WHat I do recommend though is you check out this video below – It’s Donna Dewberry video about craft painting and how to use a round brush (the technique still applies to face painting) – near the end she does exercises on how to control the round brush using “pressure and release”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkfXreFrNHU&
Thank you sooo much! especially for your quick response.
oh yes, and what is the number brush you are using on your outline for the butterfly
Hi Janice, she is using a very small/fine #1 Round Brush/ #2 Round Brush.
Love this one, it is so dainty and pretty.
Love it really nice
Thanks
I LOVE your butterfly! I notice you use iridescent glitter. Where can I get that? Again, BEAUTIFUL butterfly! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Lynn, you can get iridescent glitter here:

What shade of iridescent glitter did you use??
Looks like the Gold Iridescent Glitter
Hello, can you tell me the size of the brush that you used to draw the lines and loops with in the butterfly. Inoticed that you only used two brushes, a 3/4 flat and another one. I didn’t catch it? Thanks Keep up the amazing work!
Hi Lieim, she is using a very small/fine #1 Round Brush, you could also using a #2 Round Brush. Round brushes are the brushes that come to a point and are perfect for that kind of line work and dots
Incredible video, I have problems putting on mascara let alone paint a butterly on myself. However your video is so clear to see how to do this on others.
Like many people I raise money for charity for my face paiting and I think this is a winner!
Lynda
PS Excuse me saying, but it helps that you are very pretty.
Absolutely great. Thanks for sharing.
You always have a great presence and teach simply and effectively. Bravo. Lovin’ your work.
Thanx, the most useable design yet. I love it. Thanks you again! This will be a money maker. Blessings, E
Great designs! I really appreciate the paint/water tip. Those tips are very helpful. Thank you.

Hi Irene, she is using a very small/fine #1 Round Brush, you could also using a #2 Round Brush. Round brushes are the brushes that come to a point and are perfect for that kind of line work and dots
OMG!!! So beautiful! When I first saw the pic of the design I thought that you used a stencil b/c it was so precise & neat. I was blown away to see you actually paint this! My hand’s not that steady, but you’ve given me some great ideas. Thanks!
Awesome… I have just started out and I love watching your videos..They are so helpful. I watch them over and over and then practice on my dollhead. Thanks so much!! Bernie
Hi Bernie:
Is your head a regular dollhead washable, were can i get one. thanks
No, I bought this one at Dollar General for $5. Its one of the ‘hair fashion dolls”, I usually do little kids so this is just a little bit smaller. I am looking for one of the faces that beauticians use for wigs. It is washable. But for practicing, its not perfect but workable.
Love your videos. I want to get started in Face Painting. Do you have a book you could recommend to teach me basic steps that you learned with? How long have you been doing this? And what products did you purchase first to get started?
Thanks
Hi Cheryl, definitely check out our books here:

I recommend “Step-By-Step Face Art by Nick & Brian”.
And our downloadable face painting guides – i suggest “The Comprehensive Guide to Face Painting eBook Download” for beginners here:

WOW!!! AWSOME eye designs, I do my own eye designs, when ever I go to an even, some times they’re in keeping with what ever the theme is, otherwise I usually will do a butterfly bling, this one you did is by far the best I’ve seen, keep up the good work, this is one I will use for sure, I’m so excited to try it! thanks you for sharing.
Thank you for your designs,
I will certainly use them x
I love your videos! I’m a cosmetologist looking to expand my services and since I LOVE makeup and kids I would like to get into this. Can you advise me on what to get for the perfect starter kit..??Thanks! Best Wishes..
Definitely get the Essential 12 Color Pallete it has all the basic colors you will need and check out this blog post I wrote about beginners face painting kits: http://www.facepaintingtips.com/blog/2010/09/15/face-painting-kits-for-beginners/
Hope this helps
good job! love watching your videos…you make this look so simple and doable…thanks!
I love the both designs. The videos really help. I love watching your videos. Thanks very much.
I think a small and beautifull image is far better than an a big intricate face paint.
I love both of these two designs! Lisa, what I love most about your videos is the fact that whoever is doing the filming is really good! Your hand or arm is never in the way of what you are painting. We can actually see the design taking shape. You also are good about pausing in between the various steps for us to absorb what you just did so we can actually learn from it! Thanks for providing us with great tutorial videos!
Love your videos! This is a beautiful pattern that I think I can do! Thanks!
Hi I love the blue butterfly,I am a beginner so the small designes are good for me thanks for sharing!
Great demo thank you for sharing your talent
Again a great demonstration Thank you for sharing your talents
Love your work
Such a darling butterfly. Your videos are the clearest and easiest to understand. No hands in the way to block what you are doing. And you are so pretty. Very easy on the eyes! Keep them coming.
Love your beautiful butterflie designs. Your presentation is right on. Love that you can actually see what you are doing. Love to see more, easy and quick.
Thanks
Irene
I also love watching these. I look in my email every day just hoping for more! Thanks
Love this one good job a must ry for me thanks
Hi! Thanks for showing us how to make a simple butterfly.
Very nice design. You do a great job painting on yourself and talking at the same time while not blocking us from the camera!
Great work…will give it a try!

a beginner’s point of view. I learned so much about strokes and demisions studying this video. my bggest problem was keeping the top and bottom wings at the point. and painting the second upper wing. but i’m practing
Thank you so much for all the nice comments! I’m glad everyone enjoyed the video!!!
Love these simple but beautiful designs. Practiced them several times today and plan to use tomorrow at a large open house for a new business in town. Thanks
I used your design at my last event. It turned out beautifully and was quite an attention getter. Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Lisa:
Just was wondering if you are coming out with any more new videos of simple face painting for children. I’m still practicing on my face painting so I can get ready for my first face painting party.
Thanks
Irene
I also love your videos and the fact that your hand/arm doesn’t get in the way. There is so much to absorb, but I’m going to practice on my 4 year old grandson. He won’t know that a butterfly is for girls yet.:>)
\
PERFECT
i love the second butterfly
thank you to showing a beautiful demo for us
