Terri– just practice loading the 3/4 or 1 in brush–they work well with a brush–not really designed for sponge use

It took a few tries and practice but now I LOVE them!!!

I just bought the arty cakes from silly farm and they are much smaller than the rainbow cakes. I tried working with a wide brush and the colors ran together, they I think are too small to use a sponge or has anyone used a sponge with the smaller arty cakes ??
I bought about 4 of them so I’d really like to use them !

Hi– I was watching a video where the artist only loaded the paint on the sharp cut edge–not the flat surface– and when she was using it on the face-it really pressed in better then when using the flat cut edge

I’m just really learning and enjoying it. I’ve ordered the book and DVD. I have had many people say I am an artist along with being a face painter. It’s fun watching the kids with their painted faces and the adults are impressed with their’s also. All of the tips have been realy helpful. Thanks

That video of Heather’s is great! I too had been dragging the sponge instead of dabbing.

Very informative! I always thought the application was to drag the sponge
across the skin. Dabbing it on makes all the difference in brightness and satisfying outcome!
