Aloha,

Julies Face Painting Business CardJulies Face Painting Business CardMy name is Julie Agcaoili and I live on the island of Maui in beautiful Hawaii. I am a stay at home mother of 4. Since last year Halloween, I have been mastering the art of face painting. I have since then, started my own business here on Maui and have been doing good. Thanks to the help of YouTube I learned from you both (Philadelphia Tivoli & Heather Banks and countless other artists) various face painting designs.

I am a full time homemaker and wanted to bring in some extra money for my family. So I thought to myself what kind of “from home job” could I do that would bring me money all year round? Then it popped into my head “PARTIES”! Parties happen all year round. I’ve always had an artistic flair and wanted to try out Face Painting. So I waited till our taxes came in, and invested in FDA approved paints and was on my way. I practiced and practiced and have established myself as a legitimate Face Painting Business.

Thanks to the miracle of Internet service I have found alot of different designs and have created it into my own. I will find a design and post a how-to step by step soon. But until then I send all my ALOHA (love) to your newsletters and affordable prices.

Wow Julie! Your face painting is beautiful! I really like your business cards too ~ did you do them yourself or did you get them done somewhere? Very eye-catching. I also wanted to comment on your story….very inspirational on how you came to be a face painter! I bought a small kit to paint faces at my sons birthday party and rather got “bit” by a bug….I am very interested in exploring this more and your story gave me a bump…and a smile!

Thanks again Julie and thank YOU Philadelphia for continuing to be such a guiding light full of inspiration!

Hugs, Tina

I am very grateful to have such a great feedback from both Tina and Anne. I thank my lucky stars for anyone and everyone for who has helped me on this new adventure that I decided to take, in the Face Painting world.
As for my business cards I designed them myself and went through a company to have them printed. I like the simplicity of complex things. I don’t know if that makes sense or not. But, I find that being bold in a design will catch the attention for someone to take a second look and then admire the beauty. Keeping it nice, simple and to the point will always be the best. It also shows two sides of how detailed or simple my face painting could go.
Also a great big THANK YOU must also go to the very talented people that are in charge of this competition. Because if it were not for them, a lot of us would still be “should-a-could-a” people. They want to help and encourage anyone to try it out. It is great to have people that take the time to break it down step by step for someone with none, or a little experience with painting.
I still have a lot more to learn and experience, and will take each step with the most respect and humility for everyone. Again thank you for your wonderful comments and have a beautiful day filled with ALOHA (love) !!

Humbly Yours,
Julie Agcaoili
