congrats on being a new instructor at FABAIC! I soooo want to go= perhaps I will find my way there! I have looked at so many pics from last year’s. I read that someone said “I have found my tribe!” I think I totally understand that!
Answers to 2 questions: my favorite blog was your video on starblends/butterfly face- you inspired me and now I use them and the powders.
What I would like to see is a video for a SF competition to actually see the subsribers. I would also love to see a product review. I actually hope to do one this month.
thanks!

I like tips for business and painting. Brush tips and paint tips and design ideas.
Can we see more practice strokes and start to finish designs? Shading, smudging and blending for effects.
Thanks for all the help.(painting for one year)

1) I really liked your controversial blog about the body painting and the reason I liked it was because you gave voice to those who wanted to express their approval or disapproval and at the same time you have also posted your own opinion. I think it’s important to share your thoughts and to also receive your viewers thoughts. This kind of relationship will help them as well as your own growth in your life’s-experiences. Plus it’s a way for you to Network and build relationships for your business. Follow your heart, it will guide you to do the right thing. Everyone is different.
2) What I would like to see for the next 200 blogs…well, I’m a newbie with the face painting, but I sent an email about a week ago, hoping that you might show a video with all the steps to face painitng. What I mean is yes, close up of the designs are great, but maybe some futher away shots too so that we can see the whole process, dipping the sponges, brushes, washing, etc..you know to get the whole picture. This might take some editing though. I like your product reviews and that you show an example of how to use it, so please keep doing that. It would be fun to see you at work too, but I know that might be hard since you may need people’s (employers) permission. Maybe some slideshows of your work, your sister in law’s work & some scenery of your country for those of us here in the USA. Keep doing your videos!
Hi Philadelphia!
Here are my answers to your two questions.
1. My favourite blog posts are the Zodiac Body Painting Series. I am completely blown away by their beauty and imaginative use of the human body! I’m so happy you decided to put them up to demonstrate just how amazing body painting can be!
2. What I’d like to see in future blog posts is a series explaining how different brushes can be used to achieve different brush strokes. I am not a trained painter and often I find myself without a clue as to what brush I should be using to create specific strokes. In the past I have really enjoyed your videos on tear drops and swirls n’ curls!
Once again thank you for all your hard work!
1. My favorite videos are the slideshow from your appearance down under and the one about brush stroke manipulation showing the various strokes used during a typical gig.
2. I’d like to see more sponge technique videos.
Keep up the great work!!
Congratulations on you 200th blog post, and providing never ending updates on the latest face painting techniques.
Question 1: My favorite blod was the leopard spot how to.
Question2: I would like to see more examples. Especially animals with pointy noses likes rats or birds.
Hiya philidelphia,
Answer to question number 1
My faviourte video out of the previous 200 blogs has to be; the one which was made from the convention (most recent one) where you had face painters, and body painters. This was my faviourte one because, it showed me many different designs, and things to draw for body painting, and face painting.
Answer to question number 2
Things that i would like to see in some of the next blogs are as follows:
-more designs (body paints, and face paints) on people
and
-People actually doing the designs on people
Thankyou!

2. Please continue with all the business end of face painting. Types of brushes, new paints, keeping things clean and organized, etc. are so helpful.

Hi Philadelphia.
I noticed a lot of your subscribers were asking for video tutorials. A site that I find very helpful on this is You Tube. Here you can put in any subject, such as face painting tutorials or brush strokes in your search. You can see actual video of techniques, short cuts, and idea. There are some wonderful artists here and I have learned a lot about blending also. Heck, Philly is there too. Three tips I’d like to pass on that have helped me very much.
1. Always use your paints light to dark (learned that in Philly’s book)
2. Follow the curve of the face with your design
3. To help me master a design, I print out an 8 x 10, laminate it, and paint on the actual picture to help me learn and brain imprint the strokes. Since its washable, I can practice til my bristles fall out. Kind of paint by number. It works wonderful. Usually after 2 of 3 times I’ve mastered it. Add my own personality to it and wala….happy customer. And no Guinea Pigs.
Happy stroking Liz
Thank you for your blogs. I lookforward to each new one. I have not seen all 200 but from what I have seen …
1. My favorite blog so far was how to make lines and swirls. This has improved my faces dramaticly. I am looking forward to taking your class in Florida.
2. I would like to see more full faces done and color blending.
Congratulations, Philly!!! 200th blog?! Wow!
1. My fav blog is the face painting business tips. These tips helped me tremendously since I was new to face painting and needed to understand the business side of it as well as the paints/brushes/designs side of it.
2. In the future, I would love to see videos showing face painting done in real time. Some of the instructional vids are long because of the explaining that has to be done. In real life, we don’t have that much time to spend on one face. So, I would like to see a video showing a face completed in a few minutes and then a repeat, slower performance with instructions. This would really help me to understand how to create the design as well as give me an idea about how long it would take to finish.
Again Happy 200th and keep ‘em coming!!!
WE WILL CELEBRATE 200 HAPPINESS BLOGS NOW
THANK YOU FOR EVERY MINUTE YOU SPEND FOR US.
There have been a lot of the blog posts that I have really enjoyed. I have to say the body art post is one of my favorites and I would really like to be able to paint like that some day. I also really like tha stories that others post they make me feel like I can compare and might actually be able to be that good some day.
What I would like to see in the future is how to use the glitters more affectively. I don’t seem to get the same effect and true color that you do and I would like to know why.
Hi and thanks for 200 great blogs!
My favourite so far has to be the double colour technique showing how to paint a flower with 2 colours on 1 brush……I must say they are all very interesting though but this one stands out for me…..
In future I’dlike to see more quick and easy faces for when you have a large queue! Otherwise more of the same! Thanks very much and please keep up the good work!
