Little late for this 4th, but hope to find a local source for rainbow cakes in future.
Your tutorial was inspiring – especially look for quick designs so little (&big) ones) don’t have long wait.

Hi! I think the fourth of july ones are great! I just found your page today!
I am very inspired and have an upcoming 4th of July event at Lake Eva,in Haines City,Florida after I just moved here in April. I have been a face painter for 6 years. I trained with a woman who owned her own face painting company and did all of the fairs all over California. It was a great experience,even though she and I didn’t always get along. I am so happy I joined this profession because before all I did was oil painting and I love kids and have small siblings so its perfect for me! I use mehron makeup and sponges like yours. I love this! It is so simple, yet looks so pretty! This is yet another wonderful example that you can use on the more “wiggly” ones
I can’t wait to try this on my wiggle-worm….she LOVED the fireworks last night so she will be thrilled for me to practice this on her! Thank you, Philadelphia for posting this!!! As always, love your blog!

I found I could use this same design for the older kids as a mask using the cake as a mask going over the eyes with the stars and fireworks at the temples. I loved this

I love your rainbow paint. I work at a Marine Base Child Development Center and nothing would make my little American Heroes feel special like sporting an all American USA design. I look forward to using the red, white , and blue set. Thanks for being so patriotic.

I paint my 3 year old son’s face just to make him happy. When I’m finished, my 14 month old comes over and holds her face up to be painted. I usually give her a QUICK simple flower, a heart, or just a swiped line with a few dots above her eyebrow and she is happy.

The arm design is a great idea, and not just for the Fourth of July. I think it would be a great way to keep a small child still since they can see the design as it is growing. I’m going to try something like this on him for our party on Saturday.
