I very much enjoyed the instructional video and found it helpful. Being new to this art, I appreciated the details, including brush selection and color selection. I think I can go do this now!

This afternoon is to be my first face painting experience! I am going as Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother to assist my friend at a childs birthday party. It will be fun to bring joy to these little ones!

I think the example you showed in your video would be very easy for someone who might be a beginner to follow, especially if they aren’t really into face painting in detailed designs that encompass the entire face. Resources like this one would be great for fundraising activities at schools and simple for parties with children. The designs aren’t intimidating. You break things down into simple shapes and lines and you don’t overwhelm with the theory of highlighting and shading which can scare some people off. I think it is great. I have often been asked to paint faces for Parent Teacher Organizations at the schools that I work at. Now I can refer them to something like this! I am an art teacher and I started painting faces as a way of being able to creat art at home without my children always wanting to get into my materials. Now they have become my art! I love your tips and information! Had I not come across your website two years ago, I probably wouldn’t have gotten into this type of art! Thank you!

the ice cream cheek art is very simple and lovely, it is easy to learn as well. Not very detailed which works at an advantage of beginners. Loved it. Thank you so much Philadelphia

Hi Philadelphia!

Thanks for all the cool tips and helpful hints you provide on your website! I don’t do cheek art that much anymore. I was not very good at it and my designs were limited. I can do a full face now. My designs are still limited, but the kids don’t care! I recently was asked to do a show for a non-profit organization and I had to search your blog for suggestions on what to charge. It really came in handy and the customer was pleased. Thanks, girl!

BTW, you are so pretty! Do you model? You are pretty enough! When I grow up I want to be pretty like you! (smile)

But Im just not good at down loading this the last time I did you must have thought I had you on speed dial I made that many midtakes and lost the halloween faces glad to say I know have them but the whole prospect of another down load fills me with terra.

easy nice and summery design- inspires me to add a bit more.
eye swirls are a good edition to all designs, and drops of icecream could work as well- or to play with the color and make pink icecream with white on top for whipped cream…

I always enjoy your tutorials. You make it look so easy and add detail to designs to make them come to life. I am new at what I do so I can make little money and still be a stay at home mom. My 5 year old daughter likes to help and goes to many of the events or parties that I work. So we are a team. She paints a number on the children’s hands so I can keep the kids in line and call them back when it is their turn. She is also good at painting flowers and some stamp designs. It is great fun and quality with my daughter. Thanks, Connie

I thought the ice cream cone is a cute idea, I am just getting into face painting, a funny thing is my daughters birthday is this Saturday and I am making her an ice cream cone cake, I thought of doing some face painting, I will go with our ice cream cone theme.

every kid likes different things on their ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate, cherry coating, nuts, etc. definitely room to be creative.

Greetings! My Wife Bonita has been showing me your blog and the videos.. I must say we are both impressed. We are also interested in getting started in face painting very soon.

The video looks great! The audio was nice and clear – the instruction was simple to follow. I also took a look at the .pdf version and it’s nice as well, I just prefer the video. I wonder how it’d look if there was some melting down the cone, or a drip of ice cream… something to experiment with!
