If you’re not advertising your face painting business online, you’re probably losing money! Gone are the days where people refer to only the yellow pages when ever they need to look up a trade or service. People are doing their searching online…. so can these potential customers find your face painting business online?
In the next couple of weeks I’m going to be writing posts about different ways that you can advertise yourself on the internet. I’ll give you different websites that you can advertise on, talk about setting up free webpages, tell you what you must have on your webpage etc. It’s valuable information, that probably won’t stay up on the blog forever so stay tuned.
Don’t worry, I won’t use any big geeky words, if you know very little about the internet you will still find it all very easy to understand!
But in this post I just wanted to ask you all a few questions…. so that I have a better idea of what information to give you.
* What kind of advertising do you use already online?
* Do you have your own website?
* Do you use free services like myspace?

I use Partypop.com and have gotten some good referrals through them. I don’t have a website yet but I’m working with a web designer/business coach and we’re getting close to being done. There’s a couple of other web services I use that are very reasonable but their names escape me at the moment.
What is the average price to charge for a face painting session, or to do a party?
Hi,
Ive got a web site, but it needs updating, see what you think of it? The photos are all old now.

I would love to know more about this. My sister and son really want me look into this and have been harrassing me for months. I like the idea of doing it for free. Need to keep the overhead low.
Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Thanks for all the responses and please keep them coming!
Pam — PartyPop.com is an excellent place to be listed, its an extremely popular website, has tonnes of search engine rankings and traffic. I’ll definately mention them in a future post, well done for finding it, I know it works wonders for other face painters also. You have a nice Myspace Page aswell.
Janet — I’ve actually visited your website before, very cool. I like that its very simple and clean. You know, alot of people make the mistake of having a really cluttered flashy page that is hard to navigate through. But you have a very nice website, well done!!
Giggles the Clown — I’ll definately have some great free ideas to help you advertise online, thats for sure
Deborah Bustos — I think you should read these posts on how much to charge for face painting:
