Actually I was a clown at the reception. The wedding and reception were both held at a University ballroom. I had fun with the kids. Usually the children and I have a special little area away from the noisy grown up where we can have some fairy fun. We perform amazing magic, tell stories, play games, meet some of my puppet friends and of course have our faces painted. Usually I dress in colours to suit the theme and bring along a special fairy wand as a gift for the bride and groom. The children are all mesmerised and even the grown ups are drawn in - afterall, everyone loves meeting a real fairy. Being invited along to weddings is a real honour as you are helping makes one of the best days of a family's life even more magical. They must have forgotten my name because they signed off on the paperwork to hire me where my real name appeared. At the event, I was in costume so the administrators didn't recognize me. My voice was familiar to some of them and they kept trying to figure out who I was! It was so much fun! One guy kept staring at me hoping to jog his memory, but I refused to tell him until the end of the day. Before they knew who I was, I was asked to come back for another event, but the time of the event came and went and I never heard back from them. But that didn't bother me because I'd been paid beautifully for the first gig and I had a lot of fun pulling one over on them!
